In 2011 our atelier received the assignment to design and build a drawing device that would change the way we view our surroundings as well as change our way of drawing. It had to be easy to transport, since part of the assignment was to employ it in a chosen biotope.
My drawing device is based on the principles of a camera obscura. The tent-like structure is build out of pvc pipes, isolation tubes and lightproof canvas and can be disassembled and reassembled on a different location. Inside there is room for one person and some drawing materials. The image is projected on a moveable projection screen, enabling me to zoom in and out.
